Innovate 2021-2027&#8221; action is to connect research and innovation with entrepreneurship and to strengthen the competitiveness, productivity and extroversion of Greek companies towards international markets, with the aim of transitioning to quality innovative entrepreneurship and increasing of domestic added value.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 14pt;\">Specifically, the &#8220;Research &#8211; Innovate 2021-2027&#8221; action aims to:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 14pt;\">Provide incentives for private investment in research, technological development and innovation.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 14pt;\">Economic development based on knowledge and sustainable expertise.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 14pt;\">The integration of new knowledge and innovation into existing but also into new products, services, production systems and value chains.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 14pt;\">Increase the competitiveness of Greek businesses and strengthen the export profile in the context of international competition.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 14pt;\">Research organizations and other bodies treated as research organizations.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 14pt;\"><span style=\"color: #005550;\"><strong>Intervention 1.<\/strong><\/span> Research &amp; Development conducted by enterprises<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 14pt;\">Existing Enterprises (SMEs) regardless of the date of establishment. Also, potential beneficiaries are Business Groups in which at least one necessarily is an SME.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 14pt;\"><span style=\"color: #005550;\"><strong>Intervention 2.<\/strong><\/span> Partnerships between enterprises and research organizations<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 14pt;\">Partnerships of existing businesses, regardless of size (at least one must be an SME) and date of establishment, with research organizations, with businesses as primary recipients.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 14pt;\"><span style=\"color: #005550;\"><strong>Intervention 3.<\/strong><\/span> Uptake of research outcomes<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 14pt;\">Existing individual SMEs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 14pt;\"><span style=\"color: #005550;\"><strong>Intervention 4.<\/strong><\/span> Seal of Excellence awarded to companies<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 14pt;\">Small and medium-sized Greek enterprises that received the Seal of Excellence for research and development projects.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/6&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;32837&#8243; alignment=&#8221;right&#8221;][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;5\/6&#8243;][vc_column_text]Article to read:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.qbc.gr\/en\/shell-companies-in-the-eu-fighting-tax-evasion\/\"><span style=\"color: #005550;\"><span style=\"font-size: 18.6667px;\"><b>Shell Companies in the EU &#8211; Fighting Tax Evasion<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/a>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Interventions_%E2%80%9CResearch_%E2%80%93_Innovate_2021-2027%E2%80%9D\"><\/span><span style=\"color: #d4663e; font-size: 16pt;\"><strong>Interventions &#8220;Research \u2013 Innovate 2021-2027&#8221;<\/strong><\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 14pt;\">Specifically, funding applications should relate to research and innovation projects and be part of one of the four (4) interventions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #005550; font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>Intervention 1. Research &amp; Development conducted by enterprises<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 14pt;\">The aim of Intervention 1 &#8220;Research &amp; Development conducted by enterprises&#8221; is to create new positions for research and scientific\/technical personnel by supporting research, promoting innovation, and strengthening business networking.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #005550; font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>Intervention 2. Partnerships between enterprises and research organizations<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 14pt;\">Intervention 2 &#8220;Partnerships between enterprises and research organizations&#8221; focus is to promote collaborations\/partnerships between businesses and research organizations.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #005550; font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>Intervention 3. Uptake of research outcomes<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 14pt;\">The scope of Intervention 3 &#8220;Uptake of research outcomes&#8221; is to promote research to the next level of technological readiness, based on results produced in previous research projects.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #005550; font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>Intervention 4. Seal of Excellence awarded to companies<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 14pt;\">Finally, Intervention 4 &#8220;Seal of Excellence awarded to companies&#8221; aims to support research and innovation through the financing of proposals of significant value submitted by Greek SMEs within the framework of the European Union&#8217;s &#8220;Horizon Europe&#8221; Program (EU) and received the Seal of Excellence.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 14pt;\">Note that the duration for the implementation of the submitted project proposals must not exceed thirty-six (36) months, with the possibility of an extension for a period equal to one third of the initial duration. Intervention 4 proposals will have a duration equal to that approved by the &#8220;Horizon Europe&#8221; Program.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Budget_of_the_Action\"><\/span><span style=\"color: #d4663e; font-size: 16pt;\"><strong>Budget of the Action<\/strong><\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 14pt;\">The total government budget allocation for Action \u201cResearch-Innovate 2021-2027\u201d <span style=\"color: #005550;\"><strong>amounts to 300 000 000 EUR.<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 14pt;\">The maximum total budget of each Funding Application per Intervention is:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 14pt;\">Intervention 1 &#8211; 800.000\u20ac<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 14pt;\">Intervention 2 &#8211; 2.000.000\u20ac<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 14pt;\">Intervention 3 &#8211; 2.000.000\u20ac<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 14pt;\">Intervention 4 &#8211; Within the budget approved by Horizon Europe<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"_Maximum_Number_of_Funding_Applications_Submitted_Per_Company\"><\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16pt; color: #d4663e;\"><strong>\u00a0Maximum Number of Funding Applications Submitted Per Company<\/strong><\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 14pt;\">Each independent company (with a unique VAT number) can participate as a potential beneficiary in up to five (5) Cumulative Funding Applications regardless of intervention, throughout the duration of the Action (2021-2027).<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Maximum_Subsidized_Budget_per_Company\"><\/span><span style=\"color: #d4663e; font-size: 16pt;\"><strong>Maximum Subsidized Budget per Company<\/strong><\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 14pt;\">The total budget of the proposals of a company &#8211; a potential beneficiary, cannot exceed five times the highest turnover achieved in one of the three (or less if the company does not have three) management periods of the year preceding the submission of the application financing.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 14pt;\">Excluded from the above limit are:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 14pt;\">a) start-ups that, on the date of submission of the funding application to \u2018\u2019Research &#8211; Innovate 2021-2027\u2019\u2019, are members of the National Register of New Businesses \u2018\u2019Elevate Greece\u2019\u2019.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 14pt;\">b) companies applying for funding under Intervention 4: Seal of Excellence awarded to companies.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 14pt;\">In case the company &#8211; potential beneficiary has not closed any management period, the total budget of the proposals it will submit cannot exceed five times its share capital.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/6&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;32837&#8243; font-size: 14pt;\">The indicative distribution of Public Expenditure per thematic priority area of \u200b\u200bthe National Strategy for Smart Specialization (ESEE) 2021-2027 is as follows:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;
